Writing is a common activity that we often done in our
daily activities. We can explore our imagination by writing. Since we were in
elementary school, we got a knowledge about how to write something. Everyone
has a characteristic of their writing. They usually write something depend of
their point of view, but there is also a writers who write based on the other's
point of view. Beside reading, writing is also important. It makes us be a
creative, critical, and inspiring person. There are three process of writing :
Brainstorming, Drafting, and Proof Reading. Firstly before we start to write
something, we've to think about the theme. Arrange a main ideas in each
paragraph of our writing and start to make a paragraphs. After that, we've to
select the collection words that we used in our writing. Drafting is an
integral part of the process, so don't try to sidestep it. There are some tips
on how approach each stage of the drafting process:
1.) Write by your own way.
Many writers make the mistake of revising their work as
they go, fine tuning each sentence and reorganizing thoughts at every step.
Focusing too much on what you've already written can keep you from moving
forward in new or interesting ways. So, instead of obsessively stopping and
going, let your work form more organically .Allow yourself to ramble and write
nonsense.
2.) Keep on open mind.
When your first ideas for your book may be wonderful, try
not to get overly attached to that initial vision. A chance not only to refine
the ideas you already have, to make them more precise and more helpful to
others but also to stumble across new ideas that might strengthen or transform
your book in surprising ways.
3.) Explore your options.
Reflect on your original goals for book. Then take a close
look at the pieces you have and discover how they can be manipulated to either
reinforce. or improve that original vision. This is a time for restructuring
and refining at every level from sentence to paragraph to book.
4.) Trust your instincts.
However be mindful that it is possible to overwork your
writing. Just because revision is important doesn't mean you'll have to revise
everything. Trust your writing and your voice, but be honest with yourself
about what is not working and what could be made better.
5.) Don't stop now.
Don't forget to carefully edit things like spelling,
grammar, and word choice. While content is king, it's important not to overlook
this crucial step of final editing. Many readers will quickly dismiss the most
beautiful of messages if it's buried under glaring mistakes.
6.) Be thorough.
Comb your writing for comma splices, track down your
typos, and break out your dictionary.
The next step is proof reading. Proof reading is the reading of a galley proof or an
electronic copy of a publication to detect and correct production errors of text or art. Proofreaders are expected
to be consistently accurate by default because they occupy the last stage of
typographic production before publication. Ask someone to help you find and correct every last
mistake. Breaking the writing process down into these smaller stages will
help make the task of your writing more manageable.
